Is your Boo app match real?

You matched on personality and got talking in a Universe, but a personality type comes without a face. Upload a photo from their profile and we’ll check whether that face appears elsewhere under another name.

1The doubt

Sound familiar?

  • Your ideal type, down to the letter

Exactly the four letters you hoped for, and every photo looks professionally lit.

  • A new friend from a Universe

You met under a post in a Universe you both follow. It started as friendship, so nobody asked about the photos.

“Honestly, you’re the only one here who gets me”

  • Perfect match, camera always off

Your types fit perfectly, yet there’s always a reason the camera can’t come on.

2The check

A photo from their profile is enough.

Pick one where the face is clear, from their profile or your chat; we look for it on public profiles across 20 platforms.

  1. Your photo

Use a photo from their profile or one they sent you, cropped to a single clear face.

  2. Our legwork

Boo isn’t one of our sources, so we look for that face on 20 public platforms outside it.

  3. Your call

Each possible match links to its public page with a similarity score. You compare; we never contact anyone.

3What turns up

Four letters, a star sign, no face.

A type, a star sign and a few Universes could belong to anyone. The photo is the part we can check.

  • A model’s or creator’s photos used as their own
  • The same face behind a different name
  • A public link and score for each possible match
A similar face is a reason to look closer, not proof. And an empty list clears no one.

Sample: Instagram, @lena.demo, 89% face match

  1. 1Opens on Instagram
  2. 2Similarity score, closest first
  3. 3Another name, same face

Found something?

  1. Put the pages side by side
  2. Ask for a quick video call
  3. Keep the chat in the app for now
  4. Report the profile if it doesn’t add up

4Before you meet

Red flags worth a second look.

  • Leans on the personality type instead of a video call
  • Wants to move to WhatsApp or Telegram right away
  • Every photo looks like it came from a shoot
  • Asks for gift cards, crypto or a small loan

Just looking for friends?

Same rules: a video call before you meet, a busy place, and no money or gift cards, however good the chat.

Know their type, not their address.

Check only an adult who agreed, using a photo from their profile or your chat, and keep the result to your own decision.

What you may search

Your own face, an adult who clearly consented, or someone you are legally authorised to investigate.

Prohibited uses

No minors or images you have no right to use, and never to stalk, harass, profile, or decide on jobs or housing.

Every search is logged. Accounts that break these rules are closed without refunds.

Questions, answered.

Do you search the Boo app?

No. The Boo app isn’t one of our sources, and we never see profiles, Universes or chats inside it. We look for the face in your photo on public pages across 20 platforms.

Is the Boo app safe from fake profiles?

No dating app is. Watch for flawless photos, a quick push to another app, no time for a video call and any request for money or gift cards.

Can I check someone I met in a Boo app Universe?

Yes, if they’re an adult who agreed and the photo is one they shared with you. Friend or date, the rule is the same: the result is for your decision, not for finding them elsewhere.

What should I do if the photos aren’t theirs?

Stop sharing personal details, report the profile in the Boo app and don’t send money. Leave the person in the photos out of it; they aren’t the one writing to you.

How much does a search cost?

One coin is one search. Coin packs start at $1.99, and coins never expire. Searching often? Pro unlocks every result for $4.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $19.99 a year, billed in US dollars.

Before the first meet-up?

Add a photo from their profile and see whether that face shows up under another name before you meet.
