OkCupid match too perfect?

Thoughtful answers and a 95% match can still come with someone else’s photos. Upload one from their profile and we’ll look for that face outside OkCupid, on public profiles across 20 platforms.

1The doubt

Sound familiar?

  • Answers that read like an essay

Hundreds of questions answered, a self-summary polished to a shine, and every photo just as flawless.

  • A 97% match with the camera off

You agree on dogs, politics and pineapple on pizza. The one thing you never agree on is a two-minute video call.

“Our match score says it all, why rush a call?”

  • Off OkCupid before the first real question

They want your email or WhatsApp before you’ve really talked, and soon after comes a problem only money can fix.

2The check

The questions are done. One more check.

Pick the clearest face in their photos; we compare it with public profiles on 20 platforms and put the closest first.

  1. Your photo

Use a photo from their profile or one they sent you, cropped to a single clear face.

  2. Our legwork

OkCupid isn’t one of our sources, so we look for that face on 20 public platforms outside it.

  3. Your call

Each possible match links to its public page with a similarity score. You compare; we never contact anyone.

3What turns up

What a match score can’t see.

The score comes from answered questions, and anyone can answer questions. The photos are what a fake profile usually borrows.

  • Their photos on someone else’s public profile
  • The same face under another name, or in another city
  • Each possible match with its public link and score
A similar face is a reason to look closer, not proof. And an empty list clears no one.

Sample: Instagram, @mila.demo, 91% face match

  1. 1Opens on Instagram
  2. 2Similarity score, closest first
  3. 3Another name, same face

Found something?

  1. Put the pages side by side
  2. Ask for a quick video call
  3. Keep the chat in the app for now
  4. Report the profile if it doesn’t add up

4Before you meet

Red flags worth a second look.

  • The match percentage does all the convincing
  • Profile text that reads like it was pasted in
  • An early push to email, WhatsApp or Telegram
  • A job abroad and never time for a video call
  • An “emergency” that needs money, gift cards or crypto

Before the first date

Ask for a short video call, meet somewhere busy and make your own way there.

Compatible, not a case file.

Check only an adult who agreed, with photos from their profile or your chat; the result is for your decision to meet, nothing else.

What you may search

Your own face, an adult who clearly consented, or someone you are legally authorised to investigate.

Prohibited uses

No minors or images you have no right to use, and never to stalk, harass, profile, or decide on jobs or housing.

Every search is logged. Accounts that break these rules are closed without refunds.

Questions, answered.

Do you search OkCupid profiles?

No. OkCupid isn’t one of our sources, and we never see profiles, answers or messages inside it. We look for the face in your photo on public pages across 20 platforms.

Does a high match percentage mean the profile is real?

No. The percentage only compares answers to questions, and a fake profile can answer them as well as anyone. It says nothing about whose photos are on the profile.

How do I spot a fake OkCupid profile?

Flawless photos, an early push to email or WhatsApp, a job that keeps them abroad and never a free moment for a video call. If their photo also turns up elsewhere under another name, take it seriously.

What should I do if it’s an OkCupid scam?

Unmatch, report the profile in OkCupid and stop sending money or personal details. If you’ve already paid, call your bank and report it to the police; there’s no need to contact the person in the photos.

How much does a search cost?

One coin is one search. Coin packs start at $1.99, and coins never expire. Searching often? Pro unlocks every result for $4.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $19.99 a year, billed in US dollars.

Great answers. Is the photo real too?

Add the clearest photo from their profile; if that face turns up under other names, you’ll know before the first date.
