Bumble match, or catfish?

You made the first move and the chat’s going well; now let the photo speak: we’ll see where else their face appears, outside Bumble.

1The doubt

Sound familiar?

  • First move, then straight off the app

They messaged first, which felt great, then asked for your number within minutes.

“Bumble lags for me, add me on Telegram?”

  • Magazine-grade photos

Every picture looks like a campaign shoot, and not one looks like a Tuesday.

  • A job abroad, and no camera

Working offshore, on a rig, overseas: the story always explains why a video call never quite happens.

2The check

Your number can wait a minute.

One photo from their profile is enough; we look for that face on public pages across 20 platforms.

  1. Your photo

Use a photo from their profile or one they sent you, cropped to a single clear face.

  2. Our legwork

Bumble isn’t one of our sources, so we look for that face on 20 public platforms outside it.

  3. Your call

Each possible match links to its public page with a similarity score. You compare; we never contact anyone.

3What turns up

Why rush a good thing?

If the same face shows up under another name, slow down and ask before you meet.

  • One clear photo from their profile, cropped to the face
  • A look at every public page where that face appears
  • A short video call before you share your number
  • A report to Bumble if the photos belong to someone else
A similar face is a reason to look closer, not proof. And an empty list clears no one.

Sample: Instagram, @mila.demo, 90% face match

  1. 1Opens on Instagram
  2. 2Similarity score, closest first
  3. 3Another name, same face

Found something?

  1. Put the pages side by side
  2. Ask for a quick video call
  3. Keep the chat in the app for now
  4. Report the profile if it doesn’t add up

4Before you meet

Red flags worth a second look.

  • Talk that drifts to money or crypto
  • A push to WhatsApp or Telegram in the first chat
  • A story that changes every few messages
  • Always a reason to skip the video call

Moving off Bumble already?

No rush; a match who wants WhatsApp or Telegram right away, or keeps dodging video calls, deserves more caution, not less.

First move, yes. Stakeout, no.

Check only adults who agreed, with photos from their profile or your chat; the result is for your decision, nothing more.

What you may search

Your own face, an adult who clearly consented, or someone you are legally authorised to investigate.

Prohibited uses

No minors or images you have no right to use, and never to stalk, harass, profile, or decide on jobs or housing.

Every search is logged. Accounts that break these rules are closed without refunds.

Questions, answered.

Do you search Bumble profiles?

No. Bumble isn’t one of our sources, and we can’t see anything inside the app. We look for the face in your photo on public pages across 20 platforms.

How can I tell if a Bumble profile is fake?

Studio-perfect photos, an almost empty bio, no verification badge and a knack for avoiding video calls are the usual signs. A photo check adds one more: are those pictures sitting somewhere else under another name?

If no matches come up, is the Bumble profile real?

Not necessarily. We only see public pages, and plenty of real people keep their accounts private. Take a clean result as one good sign, and still video call before you meet.

Is it OK to check someone I matched with?

Yes, if they’re an adult who agreed and the photos come from their profile or your chat. Just ask first; it’s the fair way for both of you.

What if their photos belong to someone else?

Unmatch, report the profile to Bumble and stop sharing personal details. There’s no need to confront anyone or reach out to the person in the photos.

How much does a search cost?

One coin is one search. Coin packs start at $1.99, and coins never expire. Searching often? Pro unlocks every result for $4.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $19.99 a year, billed in US dollars.

Your move, again.

Add one clear photo from their profile; the result is a hint, and the call is yours.
