Omegle’s gone. Strangers aren’t.

Omegle closed in November 2023 and alternatives took its place; if a stranger there sends a photo, we’ll see if it appears under another name.

Sound familiar?

  • “Omegle is back!”

    1. Message: Omegle is back, new site, same vibe!
    2. Message: Sign up with your socials to start.
    3. Why it’s a sign: Omegle shut in 2023. Look-alike sites are other companies, with rules of their own.
  • A stranger who wants your socials

    1. Message: You seem cool. What’s your Snap?
    2. Message: Here’s me, so you know I’m real.
    3. Why it’s a sign: A photo sent as “proof” and a fast move to your socials. Check the photo first.
  • The clip they say they have

    1. Message: I saved a clip of you.
    2. Message: Pay me or everyone sees it.
    3. Why it’s a sign: Don’t pay, don’t negotiate, keep the messages. The next steps are in the questions below.

Got a photo they sent? The rest is easy.

We never look inside Omegle-style sites; we compare the photo they sent with public profiles on 20 platforms.

  1. Your photo

Use the photo they chose to send you, cropped to one clear face.

  2. Our legwork

Omegle isn’t one of our sources, so we look for that face on 20 public platforms outside it.

  3. Your call

Each possible match links to its public page with a similarity score. You compare; we never contact anyone.

A stranger says “this is me”?

We can’t tell you who anyone is, but we can show whether that photo also sits on someone else’s public profile.

  • A picture copied from someone’s public profile
  • The same face on accounts with other names
  • A photo sent as “proof” that belongs to someone else
A similar face is a reason to look closer, not proof. And an empty list clears no one.

  3. 3Another name, same face

Found something?

  1. Compare the pages yourself
  2. Ask for a quick video call
  3. Don’t send money, codes or photos
  4. Block and report in the app

Red flags in the chat.

Arrive anonymous, leave anonymous

No full name, city, workplace or socials, and leave any chat that turns into pressure.

Hands off the record button.

Never record anyone without consent; check only an adult who’s fine with it, with a photo they sent you, and never anyone who might be under 18.

What you may search

Your own face, an adult who clearly consented, or someone you are legally authorised to investigate.

Prohibited uses

No minors or images you have no right to use, and never to stalk, harass, profile, or decide on jobs or housing.

Every search is logged. Accounts that break these rules are closed without refunds.

Questions, answered.

Is Omegle still running?

No. Omegle closed in November 2023. Sites that look or sound like it are separate services run by other companies, so check each one’s rules and age limits.

Can you find someone I met on Omegle?

No. We can’t identify anyone from a past chat, and our rules forbid searching screenshots or recordings of people on camera. If they shared a photo with you, you can check where else that face appears on public pages.

How do I stay safe on Omegle alternatives?

Stay anonymous, skip anyone who asks for personal details or wants to move to another app fast, and don’t show anything you wouldn’t want recorded. Block and report whenever something feels off.

What if someone recorded me and is threatening me?

Don’t pay or negotiate. Stop replying, keep the messages and usernames, and report it to the site and the police. Talking to someone you trust helps, and this isn’t your fault.

How much does a search cost?

One coin is one search. Coin packs start at $1.99, and coins never expire. Searching often? Pro unlocks every result for $4.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $19.99 a year, billed in US dollars.

A stranger, or a stranger’s photo?

Add the photo they sent; if it sits on someone else’s profile, you can end the chat right there.
