Find someone on Facebook.

No friend request needed: upload a portrait and we’ll compare it with public Facebook profiles and pages, and 19 other platforms, in one search.

Three good reasons to look.

  • A second friend request from “you”

Your friends get a request from a new profile with your name and your photo. The clone already has a head start.

  • A Marketplace seller’s photo

A great deal, a friendly face, a rush to pay a deposit. Check whether that face sells under other names too.

  • A message from a perfect stranger

Kind words, lovely photos, a life abroad. Romance scams often start in Messenger, with a borrowed face.

“Hello dear, you have a kind face. Can we be friends?”

Easier than scrolling.

One photo covers 20 platforms at once, and possible matches come back closest first.

  1. Your photo

A clear, front-facing photo of one face works best: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB.

  2. Our legwork

We check public Facebook profiles and 19 more platforms in one pass.

  3. Your call

Each possible match links to its public page with a similarity score. You compare; we never contact anyone.

Not sure about that friend request?

One search shows whether that face appears on other public profiles and pages, closest match first.

  • Public profiles and pages where a similar face appears
  • A link that opens each one on Facebook
  • A similarity score, so the closest faces come first
  • Old, forgotten profiles still showing your photos
  • Accounts sending friend requests with someone else’s pictures
A similar face is a reason to look closer, not proof. And an empty list clears no one.

Found something?

  1. Open the link and compare the photos yourself
  2. Check how old the account is and what it posts
  3. Keep the link if something looks off

Signs it’s a copy.

  • A new profile with your name and your photo
  • Friends getting a second request from “you”
  • Money requests in Messenger, however urgent
  • A handful of photos and no history before this year

Before you hit Accept

Crop their profile picture to the face and search; the same face under several names is your cue to decline and report.

What’s private stays private.

We only look at pages anyone can open, and the same rules apply to every search.

What you may search

Your own face, an adult who clearly consented, or someone you are legally authorised to investigate.

Prohibited uses

No minors or images you have no right to use, and never to stalk, harass, profile, or decide on jobs or housing.

Every search is logged. Accounts that break these rules are closed without refunds.

Questions, answered.

Can I find someone on Facebook with just a picture?

If their face appears on a public Facebook profile or page, it can come back as a possible match with a link and a similarity score. Private profiles and friends-only photos never do, and we won’t reach every public page.

Does Facebook have a reverse image search?

No. FindSherlock compares the face rather than the file, so a different photo of a similar face can turn up too, on Facebook and 19 other platforms.

Can I find my old Facebook account with a photo?

If it’s public and shows your face, it may come back as a possible match with a link. Open it, then use Facebook’s help pages to recover or delete it.

Do you search Messenger or Facebook groups?

No. Messages, groups, friend lists and anything behind a login stay out, and we never contact anyone.

How much does a search cost?

One coin is one search. Coin packs start at $1.99, and coins never expire. Searching often? Pro unlocks every result for $4.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $19.99 a year, billed in US dollars.

Friend, or copy?

Add the photo; Facebook and 19 more platforms get checked in one go, old profiles included.
